Synthèse
This symposium addresses the integration of artificial intelligence in public organizations, focusing on how AI can be deployed ethically and responsibly while creating public value. The rapid advancement of AI technologies presents unprecedented opportunities for improving government services and efficiency, but also introduces significant challenges related to bias, transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making in the public sector.
The call invites multidisciplinary research examining three interconnected dimensions: policy frameworks that balance innovation with ethical standards, leadership competencies needed to oversee AI responsibly, and organizational changes required to integrate AI while maintaining public values. Papers should explore how these dimensions interact across macro-level policy, meso-level organizational conditions, and micro-level management to shape AI success or failure in public administration.
