This special issue invites research exploring the evolving landscape of crowdfunding as both a financing mechanism and investment vehicle. The call seeks to understand how crowdfunding is changing and will change in the future, particularly considering technological advancements and their differential impacts across crowdfunding models.
Submissions should address topics spanning the complete crowdfunding lifecycle, from venture development and investor performance through post-investment relationships, as well as broader themes including sustainability, internationalization, regulatory developments, and the role of academic institutions. The special issue welcomes contributions from diverse disciplinary and methodological perspectives that shed light on opportunities and challenges within the crowdfunding ecosystem.
