Emerging markets are experiencing structural transformation through the integration of digital technologies with green energy systems, creating opportunities for economic growth and sustainability. This digitalization-greenization synergy aims to enhance efficiency and resilience, yet emerging markets face significant obstacles including regulatory gaps, financial limitations, and unequal access to digital and energy infrastructure.
The special issue seeks research on how this digital-green transition influences macroeconomic dynamics, financial systems, investment patterns, and trade in emerging economies. Theoretical and empirical studies examining inclusive growth, green finance, trade competitiveness, and policy design are particularly welcome, with focus on the economic and financial dimensions of this dual transformation.
