Artificial intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping entrepreneurship and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. From AI-powered ideation and opportunity recognition to automated scaling and intelligent resource allocation, AI technologies are transforming how entrepreneurs identify opportunities, make decisions, and execute their ventures. This special issue seeks to advance our understanding of how AI is reshaping entrepreneurial theory and practice, and to explore both the opportunities and challenges that emerge from this transformation.
We invite submissions that explore the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship across multiple dimensions. This includes understanding how entrepreneurs leverage AI tools and platforms, how AI influences venture funding and investment decisions, how AI enables new business models and competitive advantages, and how AI impacts entrepreneurial ecosystems and the broader economy. We are particularly interested in work that examines both the promise and pitfalls of AI adoption in entrepreneurial contexts.
The special issue welcomes empirical studies, theoretical contributions, methodological innovations, and practitioner perspectives that shed light on AI's role in entrepreneurship. Submissions may examine startups, established companies pursuing entrepreneurial initiatives, or the broader institutional and infrastructural changes enabled by AI. We encourage interdisciplinary approaches that integrate insights from entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, management, economics, and related fields.
