This special issue seeks to advance management research through systematic examination of replication and reproducibility in the field. The management discipline faces significant challenges regarding the replicability and reproducibility of research findings, with concerns about publication bias, selective reporting, and methodological rigor. This special issue provides a platform for rigorous empirical work that directly tests and validates existing management theories and findings.
We welcome contributions that contribute to our understanding of which management theories and findings are robust and reproducible, and which require refinement or reconsideration. Both studies that successfully replicate previous findings and studies that fail to replicate are valuable contributions to the literature, as they help establish the boundary conditions of management knowledge.
This special issue aims to promote transparency, rigor, and open science practices in management research. We encourage authors to employ preregistration, share data and materials, and adopt other open science practices that enhance research quality and reproducibility.
