Contemporary firms operate in persistently turbulent business environments arising from geopolitical, social, and economic transformations. This turbulence generates ongoing uncertainty about value creation and threatens firm survival. The special issue addresses how B2B relationships and business networks respond to disruption, focusing on relational dynamics that enable firms to absorb, adapt to, and transform through adversity.
The issue emphasizes three complementary concepts: resilience (recovery after disruption), robustness (persisting under stress), and antifragility (gaining from disruption). It seeks work examining how buyer-seller relationships and networks evolve during crises and how firms reconfigure their positions within networks.
The special issue welcomes conceptual and empirical contributions using diverse methodological approaches. It is addressed to researchers interested in understanding relational adaptation, network dynamics, and organizational responses to persistent uncertainty.
