Entrepreneurship education must adapt to rapid technological change, as emerging innovations like AI, blockchain, and immersive platforms are fundamentally transforming how entrepreneurs identify opportunities, develop prototypes, and scale businesses. While these technologies offer unprecedented pedagogical potential through simulations and gamified learning, many educational programs continue using traditional, Western-centric approaches that prioritize information delivery over experiential learning.
This special issue addresses the urgent need to critically examine how entrepreneurship education can effectively integrate emerging technologies while remaining responsive to the entrepreneurial realities students will face. The issue is particularly relevant for emerging economies, where digital tools can overcome infrastructure limitations and resource constraints to democratize access to quality entrepreneurship education, though success requires institutional capacity building, thoughtful curriculum design, and supporting policies.
