This special issue focuses on intercultural relations in contemporary digital environments and unequal global contexts, with particular emphasis on the Global South and non-WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic) populations. The call seeks to expand scholarly understanding by centering research from and about regions often underrepresented in intercultural communication literature.
