Masculinities studies has expanded significantly across disciplines and emerging contexts including entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, and politics. Recent scholarship increasingly adopts constructivist, decolonial, and intersectional approaches to understand how men enact masculine identities at work. This special issue invites contributions that deepen understanding of how gender shapes social arrangements and well-being in contemporary work and organisational contexts.

Gender, Work & Organization has become a leading venue for empirical masculinities scholarship. Recent contributions demonstrate how masculinities relate to inclusion and exclusion in workplaces, how they are shaped by organisational spaces and professional socialisation, and how individuals are marginalised when they fail to conform to masculine norms. The journal seeks further analysis exploring these complex relationships between gender, power, hierarchy, and organisational dynamics.
