    <p>This special issue brings together research at the intersection of multiple objective optimization, goal programming, and artificial intelligence to address complex decision-making problems in economic and social sciences. By combining structured methods for evaluating conflicting objectives with machine learning approaches that process large datasets, the issue seeks to advance both theoretical understanding and practical applications of these integrated methodologies.</p>
    
    <p>The special issue welcomes original research papers, including substantially extended versions of presentations from the 16th International Conference on Multiple Objective Programming and Goal Programming (MOPGP&#39;25, held July 1-3, 2025, in Varese, Italy), as well as papers not presented at the conference. Contributions should address theory or applications of multiple objective programming, goal programming, or artificial intelligence with relevance to economic or social decision-making contexts.</p>
