This special issue seeks research that advances Schumpeterian economics by connecting entrepreneurship and firm dynamics at multiple levels of analysis—from individual ventures and firm behavior to regional innovation ecosystems and broader institutional environments. The special issue builds on the Aghion-Howitt tradition of studying how entrepreneurial activity drives creative destruction and economic growth.

Submissions should explore not just business creation but also how firms scale after entry, exit markets, and reallocate resources through competitive processes that ultimately generate productivity improvements. Additionally, the editors welcome research that enriches the Aghion-Howitt framework by incorporating contemporary insights and theoretical approaches from entrepreneurship scholarship.
