This special issue addresses how post-harvest innovations, cold-chain operations, and digital technologies can enhance food quality and sustainability across supply chains. The editors recognize that food losses stem from interconnected operational and infrastructural challenges, particularly in developing economies. The call seeks integrated research that connects previously separate topics to understand how innovations work together to improve food system outcomes.

The issue welcomes interdisciplinary contributions examining how post-harvest innovations, cold-chain strategies, digital technologies like AI and blockchain, and collaborative governance can reduce waste, improve transparency, and build resilient food systems.
